Let's read more about Mr. Huy in this short introduction below:
I was born in Saigon, grew up in small town Indiana, then I lived and taught in Los Angeles before having a family in Kumamoto, Japan. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California and taught math, science, and English JHS teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District. I have been introducing active learning, group project based learning, computer assisted learning, and other innovations into the Japanese education system of teaching English. I taught for three years at Yanagawa High School in the International Communication Course Program and initiated the Global Classmates Program with Kizuna Across Cultures into the curriculum. As a Microsoft Innovative Educator I have collaborated and connected with over 50 teachers in over 14 countries. I firmly believe that the next 5 years will completely transform learning. Now I devotes his time as director/teacher of my own English school, Language Kitchen and as an educational consultant in educational technology. I also operate a small Tap Hoa to give a taste of home to the 500+ Vietnamese trainees living in the small town of Kikuchi. I also conduct workshops on the benefits of Skype in the Classroom, computer assisted learning, and autonomous learning. I have presented at conferences in Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. The last five years, I would travel back to Vietnam as an active member of Teachers Helping Teachers to give English teaching workshops at universities and language institutes in central and southern Vietnam. I enjoy playing an active role in sharing best practices with one of the keys of the future of Vietnam, young teachers
