My name is John Bellamy and I live in the UK. I am 69 years old and semi-retired. I was educated in English infant, junior and secondary schools from 1955-1966.
I joined the Royal Air Force in 1969 and served in the UK, Germany, Cyprus, Maldive Islands and Saudi Arabia until 1982. I became a Graduate Member of The Institute of Fire Engineers in 1978.
After military service, I spent many years as a Sales & Marketing Manager within the UK fire, security and finance industries. In later years I rejoined the UK military as a civilian until retiring in 2014.
I have been interested in Vietnam and its history since 1966 and first visited in 2014. I have worked part-time for Vietnamese Tour Operators in Da Nang & Hoi An since 2015. I write websites, social media, marketing and back-office documents into 'English' English. And research Vietnamese tour itineraries for English speaking Western & Asian international tourists.
