Hey everyone, I’m currently in the process of preparing for the Red Hat Certified Specialist certification and have been focusing primarily on RedHat Red Hat Certified Specialist Practice Questions along with the official study resources provided by Red Hat. I find these materials really helpful in reinforcing my theoretical knowledge, but I’m starting to wonder if a home lab is truly necessary for my exam preparation.
I understand that the exams are performance-based, so hands-on experience is important, but I’ve been relying on practice questions to test my understanding of key concepts. The big question I have is whether or not I should also set up a home lab to practice the more technical aspects of the certification, like configuring services, working with SELinux, or automating tasks using Ansible.
I’m aware that a home lab offers unlimited access to practice, but at the same time, I want to know if using just the resources I have is sufficient. Does having a dedicated home lab truly provide a significant advantage, or can the practice questions and official materials alone help me get to the point where I’m ready for the exam?
