Hi, I’m Barry.
I’m a British citizen with a career background that’s a bit of a mixed bag—everything from working as an aero engineer and programmer for British Airways to twenty years as a Marketing Director in Cyber Security. I’ve even marketed bungee jumping and hovercraft racing along the way.
I’ll be the first to admit: **I am not a professional teacher.** If you’re looking for formal grammar drills or academic lectures, I’m definitely not your guy. I’ve tried (and spectacularly failed) to learn several languages myself, so I have massive respect for anyone trying to master English.
What I **can** offer is a chance to practice "real-world" English. I’ve spent a lifetime writing corporate copy and leading teams, so I can help you get comfortable with how British people actually speak—whether you want to polish a CV or just get better at everyday conversation.
We can jump online and chat about pretty much anything. I’ve traveled to 34 countries and I’m always up for swapping stories about **motorcycles, music, fishing, fitness, or scuba diving**.
