I live in Vermont, USA (about 150 kilometers south of Montreal, Canada).
I spent most of my career teaching international relations at Saint Michael's college but also received a degree in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL). For my practical training in TESOL I spent six months, along with my wife, Mary, teaching English at the National University - Hanoi. My interest on teaching English began when I spent a year in Da Nang, Vietnam during the war (1965) and taught an adult class in English as well as speaking to students at Phan Chu Trinh high school.
"A Better Vietnam" is more than "English for Vietnamese": it develops a dialogue across language and culture that can enhance human understanding in profound ways. I am excited by this electronic opportunity to help students gain more English and understand a little more about America as well.
