Biography
My name is Han Vo and I am currently living in Tulsa, Oklahoma State. I moved to the United States from Vietnam at the age of 18 and have been living here for nearly ten years. I am currently a designer at an architecture firm in Tulsa and am working toward becoming a licensed architect. During my time at Oklahoma State University, I was involved in several academic support roles, including serving as a Success Coach to help first-year architecture students navigate the rigorous curriculum, as well as a teaching assistant for architecture studios and computer/graphic courses.
Moving to the United States with little to no English was challenging, and it showed me how important regular practice and real conversations with fluent speakers are, far beyond what textbooks and grammar lessons alone can offer. When I see an opportunity to provide that kind of supportive environment for students, while also giving back to Vietnam, which I love dearly, I feel motivated to help others reach their language-learning goals.
I love traveling whenever I get the chance, and I enjoy spending my free time reading, playing video games, and going to the gym after work to release stress.
